Pongo is a modular sofa conceived as an open composition of soft, independent volumes. Seats, backrests and armrests are freely arranged on a slender platform, allowing different configurations to emerge from the same system. Elements can be added, removed or shifted, creating compositions that play with proportions, asymmetry and empty space. Higher upholstered panels can define more intimate seating areas, offering an increased sense of privacy, while solid wood trays extend the platform to create integrated surfaces that work as small coffee tables. Pongo can thus shift from open, informal configurations to more enclosed and articulated compositions.
